logo_darderIn Smart Gourmet we were the honor to know the birth of the first Darder sauce a Romesco confit, before its appearance in the market thanks to the kindness of the Darder family and their confidence in our quality criteria.

As Catalans that we are, throughout our lives we have been able to taste hundreds of romesco sauces, homemade in so many restaurants or packaged products of different brands. But the impact that this romesco confit sauce caused us was enormous, we truly feel each of its ingredients in an extraordinary balance and purity.

We had no hesitation in proposing to incorporate the Darder sauces collection into our catalog of premium Catalan products for its international development.

Darder is located in L’Escala, famous seaside town of the Costa Brava with great tradition and quality in the elaboration of salted anchovies. In this excellent fishing environment, the Darder project is developed to provide specialized sauces in the pairing for fish and seafood recipes.

Darder produce handmade sauces with natural ingredients of proximity and first quality, with low temperature cooking in the style of traditional catalan cuisine. Soft taste, refined texture and delicate aromas, Darder sauces are the perfect pairing to enjoy the fish.
